Hello my friends, I miss you all very much! :)
well my university exams finished and now I'm free until I start the second semester. it will start 5 days later and I should study hard again for passing units and getting good marks. you know I plan to be the best student in my university so that I can study at the world class universities in future.
Today I went to Tehran, as you know it's Iran capital city, some people tell it's the mega city of Iran.
It's a very busy city with nice people. I went there to sell some shares in Tehran Stock Exchange.
I started my trip by going to Vanak Sq. first then Africa Blvd And after that Argentina Sq. which was my final destination and after that visiting some other parts of this city. it was raining today in Tehran, and it was nice.
Then I went to a park and sat for some minutes and called one of my friends to come and visit me but unfortunately he was busy, so I returned to my hometown Karaj. you know guys when I arrived home, I ate an hamburger for lunch and then slept for about 2 hours xD!! taking nap in winter is really enjoyable but I usually don't take nap because I think it makes me more tired! what do you think? :)
First Snow and First University Exam
when I got up in the morning, I saw a lot of snow in the streets, it was the first snow of 2011 in my city and I like it!:)
I took some photos, and I want to show them to you! enjoy it!;)
all of the above photos were taken in my university!
and also I took a photo from these colorful chocolates, we call these chocolates "Smartis" in Iran, I couldn't find an English word for these colorful chocolates!:) but I think in English it is "Smartis" too, because when I searched in Google Images, I saw many of these colorful chocolates!:)
have fun ;)
Happy New Year
Hi, I don't have much time for blogging these days, it's because that I'm preparing myself for final exams!
wish me good marks :D thank you all!
Sorry I'm so late in congratulating you with New 2011 but any way "Happy New Year" my friends, I wish you a very successful and joyful and healthy year!;)
in Iran it's not new year now because we celebrate new year on March 21st and I can say we celebrate it from beginning of the spring (1st of Farvardin in Iranian calendar) and we call it Nowruz! :)
have fun ;)

Exhusted
Hello my good readers,
today it was a very malevolent day for me, because of many reasons, I woke up in the morning and got prepared for a conference that I had today, I prepared my self quickly and then took a shower then I went to univeristy! in the way to university I was sicked in traffic! oh it was really terrible and I had to print my conference sheets too so I didn't have enough time! I finally got late for class but anyway I presented my conference and it was okay!
after that I went home but nobody was home , so I returned to university but I didn't have any classes so I was just wandering in the university campus!
I am now really tired and I should start to prepare myself for first semester final exams!
have fun ;)

Winter Solstice
Hello my friends,
tonight is a special night in Iran! we call it Yalda night and this night is the last night of autmun! oh poor autmun, we are leaving it alone for a whole year! obviously tomorrow is the first day of winter in Iran so Yalda night is like a wall between these two seasons, Iranian people want to pass this wall tonight!
you should also know that Yalda night is the longest night of the year and winter solstice occurs at this time!
I don't want to describe these things in a scientific way because it takes too much time!
for people of other countries that they don't use modern Iranian calendar (Iranian calendar is different from other countries calendar because it's solar hejri calendar), depending on the shift of the calendar, Yalda night is celebrated on or around December 20th or 21st each year.
let me tell you what do people do at this night, usually people and their relatives gather together in their parents' house and they celebrate this night by drinking hot tea and consuming nuts and fruits such as orange, watermelon, pomegranate, pumpkin and some other winter fruits! of course watermelon is not a winter fruit but I don't know why do people consume it! the purpose of consuming these fruits and nuts at this night is to protect themselves from winter diseases!
I don't have any plans for tonight!

Three Days Off In Iran
Ciao my friends,
well these days my country is off for 3 days!
maybe you want to know why?
actually Iran is an Islamic country so we have special days that we mourn for our prophets or imams!
we don't always mourn, we also celebrate some special days during year!
yesterday(Tasua) and today(Ashura) were off because of two special men in Shi'a Islam! imam Hussein and his half brother Abulfazl!
in the past these two men fought against corruption in Islam and finally they and their family martyred by Yazid and his army in a very harsh way in battle of Karbala (Karbala is a city in Iraq)!
well, it has a very complex and long history, you should study about it to understand what I am talking about!
anyway, tomorrow is Friday and we are off which would be the third day that we are off in Iran, but tomorrow is weekend and it's always off so it's not related to imam Hussein and his half brother!
today I went out with my family to march with people because as I told you today Imam Hussein and his half brother martyred by Yazid and we call this day "Ashura" which is on 10th of Muharram and when Abulfazl martyred in 9th of Muharram we call that day "Tasua"!
during these two days ("Ashura" and "Tasua") the majority of Iranian people go out for marching and mourning! I took many photos but I have just uploaded three of them to show you here on my blog!
have fun ;)
A Tiring Day With A Dead Cat
Hello my friends,
well, today as usual I went to university, I had 3 classes in the morning, first it was Persian literature that started at 8:00 in the morning! teacher taught us two lessons from old Persian literature and they were great!
after that I had English class at 10:30 in the morning up to 12:00, it was a make up class because we were off for two sessions! and at the end of the class we translated the biography of Johann Sebastian Bach into Persian! after this class I attended in math class, actually this class is really weird because nobody listens to teacher and teacher can't control the class well so finally he said us: "You are really rude students, I will leave your class until you become good students and listen carefully when I teach you!" and some of our good students fought with those students who were in the end of the classroom, but at last everyone left the classroom and I went home straightly!
I was walking in the street while I saw a stray cat! oh this cat was dead, at first I thought he is slept but...!
he must have fallen from the roof of a very tall building! look at his face, you can see blood in his mouth and nose!
look, you can see a dead cat in the middle of the street and a cat in a bed under the blanket in a beautiful house!
humans are like this too!
anyway it was a tiring day today!
have fun! ;)
